Safeguarding the health of your pet is our primary concern. Our Wellness Programs allow us to help increase your pet’s lifespan through proactive preventive health care. Many health problems CANNOT be identified by a physical exam, that is why it is imperative that ALL pets receive wellness screenings to permit early diagnosis of any hidden problems.
To prove our commitment to your pet’s health, we will provide COMPLIMENTARY CORE VACCINES:
Feline – Distemper, Panleukopenia, Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus, Chlamydia, and Rabies (if needed)
Canine – Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza, Parovirus, Bordatella, and Rabies (if needed)
SENIOR WELLNESS INCLUDES:
Wellness Physical Exam – Includes weight, temperature, pulse, resipration, oral exam, eyes, ears, muscle, bones and joints.
Complete Blood Count – Tests for anemia, infection, inflammation and overal healthiness of the blood cells. White Blood Cells (WBC’s) help fight infection or inflammation. Red Blood Cells (RBC’s) carry oxygen to the tissues.
Blood Chemistry Profile – Tests the many organ systems (Liver, Kidney, Pancreas, Muscle and Bone) of the body to make sure they are working normally.
Thyroid Screen – Useful in screening malfuntions of the thyroid gland. Hypothyroidism (too little thyroid hormone) is common in dogs; whereas hyperthyroidism (too much thyroid hormone) is common in older cats. Both of these can be corrected with proper medication.
Urinalysis via Cystocentesis- Allows us to assess the health and function of the urinary system, including early detection of kidney disease, infection, or crystals.
Intestinal Parasite Test – A test run on your pet’s stool sample to look for hookworms, whipworms, roundworms, coccidian, and other internal parasites.
